IIYT is pleased to offer this FIRST TIME Seminar Series to everyone interested in Yoga Therapy!

No yoga experience required.


  • Attendees of all levels are welcome to participate!

  • Learn about a wide variety of topics relevant on yoga therapy.

  • All seminars are led by IIYT Faculty as Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Providers.

  • Register for as many seminars as you like from the schedule below.



  • IIYT Yoga Therapy Seminars are facilitated by IIYT Faculty Seminar Leaders registered with Yoga Alliance as Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Presenters (YACEP).

  • Each of the IIYT Yoga Therapy Seminars consist of three contact hours and are Yoga Alliance compliant. 

  • IIYT Yoga Therapy Seminars are conducted via ZOOM - all times are in the Eastern Time Zone. 

  • Proof of attendance will be electronically provided to attendees at the conclusion of the 3-hour seminar.

1. September 4th, 1:00-4:00pm: Treatment of Bulimia Nervosa with Yoga Therapy. A conversation about yoga therapy’s adaptability, as seen through the lens of treating bulimia and other eating disorders, body dysmorphia, generalized anxiety, and addictive behaviors.

2. September 18th, 1:00-4:00pm: Yoga Beyond the Mat - Part One. Offering practices to increase agency through clinical applications of accessible yoga, based on establishing homeostasis to promote greater health.

3. September 25th, 1:00-4:00pm: Yoga Therapy to strengthen the brain and lead to healthy aging. Learn how yoga therapy, meditation and healthy eating can strengthen mind and memory and prevent cognitive decline.

4. December 4th, 1:00-4:00pm: Yoga Beyond the Mat - Part Two. A deeper look into the neuroanatomy of homeostasis and its role in the perception of pain. More practice and inquiry into the role of awareness and agency.

5. December 18th, 1:00-4:00pm: Bedside Yoga Therapy. We will explore bedside yoga therapy techniques that have been shown to help manage pain and anxiety for people who are pre and post-surgery.

6. January 8th, 1:00-4:00pm. Practicing yoga through the koshas. Explore yoga therapy’s complete physiological and ethical scope of practice through the koshas; embodiment, breathing, mental and emotional attitudes, intellect, and self-fulfillment.

7. January 29th, 1:00-4:00pm. Yoga and the management of addictive behaviors. Learn about physiological, philosophical, and experiential aspects of yoga that support the management of addictive and polysubstance abuse behaviors from a therapeutic lens.

Registration, refund policies and cancellation:

(1) $50.00 registration fee (plus any additional online transaction fees) per person for each IIYT Yoga Therapy Seminar. 

(2) Requests for attendee cancellation must be submitted by email to IIYT 24 hours prior to the scheduled seminar. Refunds will not be offered after that time.

(3) In the event of cancellation by either IIYT or the Seminar Facilitator registrants will receive a refund of their full registration fee.
